Okay, so this may be my favourite home tour to-date. While out to dinner with my lovely friend, Liv – she shared this dream of a place with me and it hasn’t left my mind since. It’s the insanely beautiful west village home of Alison Cayne, founder of the cooking school Haven’s Kitchen in NYC and mother of five littles. Each part of her place is designed with the same palette which normally I would find boring but in her space it’s just majestic. I’m immediately thinking of ways how I can inject some more mustard yellow in my home.
Herringbone floors, mantle and floor to ceiling gallery wall have me like whoa.
Clearly she’s not afraid of the kitchen and Iove how she chose the dark grout in both her kitchen and bathroom with the classic white subway tile.
Of course she prefers open shelving – who does that with five kids? A boss does, that’s who.
Inspiration board goals!
Semi regretting not painting our bedroom black! However, we do not have all that natural light.
Oh good god how pretty is that place?
Immediately placing some framed memories on my vanity.
