:: Overalls (old but similar), Sunnies, Shirt (on sale!), Tote, Booties ::
While touring the lovely city of Chicago last weekend I wore this outfit and even though I have already shared this pair of overalls on the blog before, I wanted to share it again because I’m that into them. I also may or may not have found a white pair on extreme sale while visiting their Madewell location. These overalls also make a little appearance over on Flare.com when I wore them to TURF. The cost per wear on these things are off the charts!
I’ll be sharing the places I visited in Chicago on the blog next week – stay tuned!
Enjoy your weekend!
A and I are headed up north (it’s going to be cold!) for a Fall cottage weekend. Can’t wait to get cozy.

There’s nothing better than an outfit that is easy to throw on but still makes you feel pretty. Case and point this dress. The delicate details and silk material make it super light (perfect for the recent warm weather we have seen!) and airy. I generally like to complement a girly or pretty dress with a slight heel (or a demi-wedge in this case), not-so-perfect pony and classic aviators.
It is cold out. REALLY cold out. So when this time of year comes around and outerwear is an absolute must it can well, for lack of a better word, be ugly. I miss the days when you just head out of the door with maybe a scarf because it looked cool. It takes me much longer to get out of the house with so many layers. Packing up your heels in your purse and putting on the old man winter boots. So I figure, why not make it fun? When I first spotted this jacket at J.Crew, that’s immediately what I had thought. It’s fun and festive and will certainly brighten my days throughout the greys of winter. Throw in some winter white (my fave!) and some vintage fur and you’re immediately more happy than being in that down jacket that everyone else in the world wears.
Disclosure: these photos were not taken during our current Polar Vortex, that would just be insane. Nor does this outfit now seem appropriate for our Canadian winter – ah well, it was at the time!

Oh and pack up and throw a snowball while you are out there!

One of the most prettiest aspects of fall is the the turning of the leaves. From bright orange to hot red, they paint a picture outside. These leaves actually inspired this outfit as I noticed the natural ombré of some trees and have really been into the monochromatic look these days. It’s so simple, you never worry if the colour goes together or not since it’s all the same.
While I wait on purchasing the original Ariel Gordon Knot Ring – this little knock-off from this cute boutique in my neighbourhood will do.

I’m all about mixing things up. High priced items with low, gold with silver and shabby with chic. Recently Toronto saw a drop in temperature and rather than grabbing a blazer for my commute to work I opted for this military utility jacket. I’ve had it for many years and I’ve worn it in more ways than one. My Fiancé didn’t necessarily agree with the combination however, I like it when someone doesn’t agree with my outfit. It makes me feel like I’m pushing some sort of boundary and that’s what it’s all about with clothing.
I’m feeling this Mexican vibe lately. Maybe it’s partly due to this heat wave we are experiencing or maybe its it’s my love affair with Mexican food but either way, I’m digging it. I even went as far as ordering a dish towel online that reminded me of Mexico! It will make a great addition for my next fiesta. Feeling inspired by these ladies – I put this outfit together.
