Michael Kors

White out

In keeping with today’s Toronto weather which is basically just snow everywhere – I figured I would round up some great white sneaks that are just perfect for your spring outfits. They are so perfect to pair with everything from floral skirts to torn up boyfriend jeans. Stay warm out there!  White Out 1. Michael Kors – Putting that sporty-chic in your step with these woven leather kicks.

2. ACNE – Known for their chic simplicity their white sneaker hits the mark.

3. Addidas Stan Smith – Classics! They remind me of my old school shell toes I had as a kid.

4. Vans – Another old school classic with an updated edge with the perforated leather.

5. Joe Fresh  – How can you really beat this price?

6. Converse – An upgrade on your standard high-top converse, the leather brings them next level.

Enjoy the snow!

Carrying on

carry on
I did just come back from our honeymoon, it’s true – but we’re off to another destination this coming weekend! And in fear of sounding like a complete brat – I need to mention that my husband’s work is taking us away to Mexico. For someone that travels often, I’m a terrible packer. Like, just terrible. I’d rather bring things with me to have options and lug a huge suitcase around the airport than leave that extra cardigan I’m considering that may or may not go with anything I’ve packed. Every time, I go through the same packing cycle – I start off organized with outfits and nearing the departure, I go into panic mode and pack until the luggage can bear no more. It’s really a shame because it’s also really annoying having so much baggage. I’ve recently noticed the value in traveling light and find that true luxury is carrying minimal stuff which, I’ve already stated – I’m terrible at.

Well starting this trip – carry ons will be my new best friend and since I am normally used to bringing a medium sized suitcase wherever I go (even if it’s just for a weekend) – it’s going to be an adjustment. I’ve set out to find a carry on that will help me get excited for packing small and perused online for some cute ones I would like consider:

1. MICHEAL Michael Kors Jet Set Rolling Carrying On – When you’re maybe not in the army but certainly on a mission.

2. Kate Spade Things We Love Carry On – I’ve spotted this gem before and would die to travel so chic!

3. Rimowa North America Classic Flight Luggage – These aluminum beauties are super indestructible and perfectly unisex if your man needs to take flight.

4. Longchamp Four-Wheel Hard Shell – Longchamp is the traveller’s bestie whether is Le Pliage tote or this hard shell cased – your chic no matter what you take.

5. HEYS Delta Widebody Spinner – The classic black carry-on. Although it’s completely boring on the outside, you know it will pair with any outfit.

6. Herschel Supply Co Campaign Wheeled Carry On – Their backpack on wheels essentially and although it may be great for every trip you take, it certainly gives you some hipster cred.

Cuff Love

Straying from my typical stacks on stacks of bracelets, I’m looking at large solid cuffs to dress my wrist these days. Even better, one for each wrist.

1. J.Crew Jewelled Cuff – I love the acrylic with the jewels, gems and studs. This cuff can easily be worn dressed up or down and it’s simply perfect. It’s already backordered online so I suggest you jump soon if you want to rocking it this holiday season.
2. Elsa Peretti Bone Cuff – This timeless cuff will forever be on my wish list. It’s so simple yet it says so much.
3. Coach Wide Turnlock Bracelet – Although this technically isn’t a cuff, it still has that large bracelet appeal and could certainly hold it’s own.
4. Tory Burch Tortoise Cuff – Love, love tortoise! I’m not a huge fan of the huge logo but find that’s rather subtle on this wrist piece.
6. Michael Kors Pave Horn Cuff – Leave it to Michael to add the bling – this pave horn is so neat with the acrylic, it almost appears as if it’s floating.

In the trenches

::Dress/J.crew, Shoes/J.Crew, Bag/Michael Kors, Bracelet/Old {similar here}, Sunglasses/Ray Ban::

But not for long! Towards the end of the month last month, I was feeling a little lost in the trenches. Just trying to keep my head above water. I ducked out of the office for a quick snap of the camera since I just adore this dress. When I first saw it online I was hesitant since a larger busted girl like me shouldn’t be donning the double breasted buttons but I threw that rule out the window because I just couldn’t resist. The stretch wool blend is so comfortable and doesn’t easily crease when you’re sitting at your desk. It’s work appropriate but also has the playfulness to keep things light.

Capping it off

::Hat/ a friend’s but can purchase here, Shirt/Joe Fresh (old), Pants/J.Crew (old), Belt/Gap (old), Shoes/Zara (on sale!), Bag/Michael Kors, Watch/Timex, Watch Strap/J.Crew::

Play ball!
J.Crew has been pairing baseball hats with their outfits for a while now but somehow this season more than ever they are on everyone’s Fall’s wish lists.
A colleague of mine has this hat on her desk and I borrowed it for the day as I felt it tied my outfit together with all things I love. Polka dots, blue and white, New York and prep.

Mixing it up

:: Jacket / Urban Outfitters, Dress / Club Monaco (old) / Necklace / J.Crew (old), Shoes / J.Crew (older). Watch / Michael Kors, Purse / Prada ::

I’m all about mixing things up. High priced items with low, gold with silver and shabby with chic. Recently Toronto saw a drop in temperature and rather than grabbing a blazer for my commute to work I opted for this military utility jacket. I’ve had it for many years and I’ve worn it in more ways than one. My Fiancé didn’t necessarily agree with the combination however, I like it when someone doesn’t agree with my outfit. It makes me feel like I’m pushing some sort of boundary and that’s what it’s all about with clothing.

Into the Wild

::Dress/J.Crew (Old),Vest/Club Monaco (Old), Sandals/Michael Kors, Watch/Michael Kors, Sunglasses/Madewell, Ring/House of Harlow::

If you’re anything like me, you’ll agree that animal prints are a neutral and can be paired with just about anything. Well, in this case I went in one direction and it borders on almost being too Safari centric but I thought, why not. I enjoy how the leopard shift dress peaks out at the sleeves and the bottom. Paired with some gladiator sandals and large jewellery I’m ready for to head out into the wild!

Chain Gang

Chain Gang

It’s an accessory that adds to an outfit almost like jewellery.
Worn cross body or over the shoulder, it gives you that little bit of something.
Classy or badass – I wouldn’t mind any of the above in my chain gang.

1. MICHAEL Michael Kors Small Weston Pebbled Messenger Bag – We already know how I feel about tassels and this white purse could be the icing on the all white outfit.
2. Legacy Flight Bag in Leather – I’m claiming this colour as my blue for the fall. Move over cobalt, robin’s egg is here to stay.
3. Chanel Lambskin Camera Case – One day I will obtain my own Chanel purse, one day.
4. Tory Burch Robinson Chain Mini Bag – This is another colour that I’m really digging for fall – Sunflower Yellow. Also, Tory makes a great chain, she really does.
