I’ve been thinking a lot about Summer these first days of September. As I’ve mentioned previously, I think we can all get our panties in a knot about Summer leaving us after the labour day weekend yet it’s 35+ degrees out and it feels more like Summer than ever! I’ve read a couple of hilarious protests online including “Summers over! No longer feel pressured to have the best summer ever!” which I hate to admit I sorta agree with. There’s the bucket list I make every Summer which can sometimes be a bit of a daunting list (albeit fun list) of things to do. I think next year, I’m going to try and make less plans to be more spontaneous and actually take the canoe trip we talk about taking ever year.
This labour day weekend was a blast and a great mix of events. We went to the cottage to get some quality time with the lake and then headed back to the city to visit with my bestie while we laughed our asses off at Oddball Festival.
We decided to cap our weekend off with a nice long walk at the Evergreen Brickworks to really soak in the humidity and the heat. You can even see the humidity on my lens in the above pictures.
