This Saturday is HALLOWEEN! I love Halloween! Normally by this time, I have my costume selected, pumpkins carved and house decorated however this year I’ve been a bit delayed. So this week, I decided to host a quick Halloween-themed dinner party with a small group of friends to help me get into the mood with an emphasis on the dessert. I came across this Skull Cakelet Pan from Williams-Sonoma and knew it would be perfect to add a little spook to our table.
I used a Red Velvet cupcake mixture by the box which was clearly convenient and easy to use. I simply wiped the interior of the pan with butter so it wouldn’t stick – as you do. After baked, the cakelets popped out of the pan simply and easily while actually providing all of the skull face details.
And just like that, our dinner party turned scary after the main course.
