Since I’m at the age where friends and family alike are getting engaged, hitched or having babies – I’m all about the celebrations. I truly believe it’s important to recognize these special times in our lives. There are however on occasion different types of showers, there’s the basic ones, the women-only ones and the plain boring ones. Luckily my group of friends adopted the co-ed fun ones from the start. When A and I were married just last year, our lovely friends threw us a shower in their beautiful home, invited our closest friends and family and it was so much fun that we wanted to share the same love for our other dear friends who are tying the knot NEXT WEEKEND! Unfortunately our space for hosting is limited in our little loft but fortunately our friends had just purchased and renovated their space and were ready to show it off (and it’s a stunner). It’s actually the best co-hosting, so much more fun than on your own!
I had a vision of the invite and couldn’t find it ANYWHERE so Amy over at Love On Sunday was able to make it for me. Our theme was English Garden Party hoping the weather would cooperate.
Setting up the flowers!
I added some halved oranges and grapefruits to add some colour and texture to the garland I made for the table.
Dahlia’s for days! My favourite flower as we move into Fall. Also obsessed with this dress I ordered from Nordstrom (hurry up and open in Toronto!).
The weather wasn’t super awesome but we were able to the bar outside
We made Pimm’s to keep with the English theme.
The happy couple! Can’t wait to celebrate the big day coming up.
