This past weekend, A and I went up north to the cottage. The air was chilled, we wrapped ourselves in layers, it was very peaceful and the stove was on. Our current loft is lacking a couple of things which is fine because we know it’s not our forever home however one thing I realized over this weekend was that if our next place doesn’t have a fire place, I would LOVE a wood burning stove. Sure, they aren’t overly common in homes in our city but who loves being common? I just love their appearance and when I stumbled across this wood burning stove on My Scandanavian Home – I was absolutely sure I wanted one.
The rest of the home is a stunner with minimalist detailing – neutral palette and small splashes of glam. I also kind of love how the wall in the living room (pictured below) is blank. We have a similar blank wall (without the gorgeous crown moulding) and I struggle between wanting to fill it and leaving it blank. I’m consciously trying to not bring in more items into our home to have a less cluttered space but as you know, it’s a fine balance. Linen bed linens! I may or may not have picked up a linen duvet cover yesterday at IKEA. Although I realize it’s not the most quality linen out there – I’m still excited to try it out – I’ll keep you posted.
I also think I need a piece of wood or my bath now – I mean, how have I not had this need before? I love baths!
